My greatest character. final idea.

In my final piece im going to be using some voodoo dolls with some little bits/props to go with it. It is going to be based on the fairy tale ' Goldie locks and the three bears'. My favourite bit about my final piece will be the voodoo dolls. I think voodoo dolls are so cool! My final idea is going to be three voodoo dolls that go into the woods into their cabin and find a young girl eating their food (which i might use some human body parts as they're evil voodoo dolls) and the voodoo dolls chase the young girl away as they try to kill her and they try to steal her body parts and they're trying to eat them as she ate all the guts they were saving for tea, but she doesnt know that they're guts, she thinks they're sweets. (might use some sweety laces to put in a small plate that i might use, and class the laces as intestines of something). I'm excited to get cracking with my final piece. I think it's going to be creepy but really good at the same time.

Greatest character.

'giggity giggity giggity giggity!'

Glen Quagmire out of the Animated show 'Family Guy'
The voice of Quagmire is done by Seth MacFarlane.

Why he is my favourite: He is my favourite character because i think he's absolutely hilarious! He's always making me laugh with his funny quotes. I love him because he is most known for his hyper-sexuality. He always shouts 'Giggity' when he's sexual situations. He usually get's himself into situations that are difficult to get out of. Nearly every part of Quagmire's house has a discreetly hidden bed. He also has a foot fetish, i think it's so funny!

Finest hour: Quagmire sees a cheerleader tied up in a bathroom stall''''''-Quagmire: Dear diary: Jackpot''''''.

photographers.

In college with Lucy we were looking at different images created by different photographers. We were writing down when we thought the image was taken and what did we think about it. My favourite image that we looked at was created my Sandy Mann and it shows a young girl smoking a candy fag. I really like this photograph because it's very interesting and there's a lot of emotions that project through the image to the viewer. The title of the photograph is called 'candy cigarette'.

comparing media.

In college me and katherine were working together. We were comparing different types of media. I wrote about magazines and Katherine compared it to writing about radio's.  We wrote the positives and negatives about the media we chosen and we compared it.

Pixilation animation.

Here is a video that i used doing pixilation animation. This video is about young love and a young couple walking up the street and talking and suddenly falling inlove. For this video i used my college friends Scott Ross and Katherine Wilkox. They done a great job:D.

Jan Kounen Gisele Kerosen CRITIQUE.

In this video i love the use of colours and the location. In my opinion i think the duration of the video makes it a little bit boring towards the end. I love the way how they're flying and there's some humour involved. Where one of the men aim to fire and another man whilst they're fling on broom sticks. The thing i'd change is the duration of the film and for the beginning to start a little bit quicker than what it did.

PIXILATION ANIMATION.

Neighbors- Norman Mclaren CRITIQUE.

I think the video for Neighbors was amazing. I think it's really funny and humorous how the two men fight over the flower that had just grown. I disliked the part where they beat up each others wives and children. I think the video would have been a lot better without that scene. Apart from that i think it was really funny and i really enjoyed it!:).

PIXILATION ANIMATION.

Her Morning Elegance / Oren Lavie CRITIQUE.

I think this video on youtube is absolutely fabulous. My favourite bit is where the man is twirling the girl around. It's very interesting to watch and i could sit here and watch it all day. It is noticeable that it must have took a long time and a lot of effort must have been put into it along with patience. If that was my video, the only think i's change is maybe zooming in a little bit so that not so much of the bedroom floor was showing, but apart from that i thought it was a genius idea.

PIXILATION ANIMATION.

mind map- for final piece.

Here is my mind map planning for my final piece. I put my location, ideas (in which changed and i progressed), what i had used, the music i used, it was black and white, and what the story was all about.

Flip book Evaluation.

I made a flip book by getting a small book and drawing my images step by step. At first i planned it out on a mind map. I made an exploding firework with some swirls coming out of it as it exploded. I made it because i like fireworks, i think they're pretty. I hand drawn the images in the flip book with a fine liner. The disadvantage of using a fine liner was not being able to erase the mistakes that i had made. I used a flip book with card paper inside of it. The thing that went wrong was not drawing it EXACTLY the same as the image before hand but i over came it by adding a little extra detail to even it out a bit more. I learnt that i am pretty good at making a flip book and it's quite enjoyable. I didn't think i'd be able to make it look good but in the end it turned out well. I am happy with my final product. If i could change anything then i would add some colour and make it more interesting and maybe do smaller steps. Overall i enjoyed the experience and i am happy with my final result.

South park critique.

South park is one of my favourite animated TV shows. I absolutely love it because it is hilarious and it never fail to make me laugh. Although, sometimes it does go over the top with the language. South park is an American animation show. It was created but Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The show is very popular and a famous show due to humour and language. The show revolves around four young boys called; Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman and Kenny McCormick. South Park debuted in August 1997 with great success. The pilot episode was produced using cutout animation. All subsequent episodes are created with software  that emulates the cutout technique. Parker and Stone perform most of the voice acting. Since 2000, each episode is typically written and produced during the week preceding its broadcast, with Parker serving as the primary writer and director.

In June 1999, South park: bigger, longer and uncut was released. It became box office and critical success. The animation is inspired by the paper cut-out cartoons by Terry Gilliam and Monty Python's flying circus and Parker and Stone are life long fans. Their movements are animated in an intentionally jerky fashion, as they are purposely not offered the same free range of motion associated with hand-drawn characters. The animation is so much better with the software that is now being used.

I think that people that have not yet seen South park, will like it for the humour and language, In my opinion i think it's really enjoyable and almost everyone i know loves it!

Young love- pixilation.

In college we were doing pixilation where we take pictures and make the human body do things that are impossible to do in real life. My pixilation video was about a boy and a girl walking together and then they stop, they start talking, then they walk over to the path and they kiss. They're really happy together and it's kind of like a chick flick. I did not put enough time into it and the clip was really short. To change it i would have made it longer, and i would have made the human body do something that is impossible to do in real life. I was just running behind on my work and I had 30 minutes to get it done and finished. I think it would have been great if I done it properly but apart from that, it told a really excellent love story and i am happy with it:).

Evaluation-Final piece.

For my final piece i used a King and Queen from a pack of cards. I used black card, paper, pen/ink, plasticine, a plastic dollar sign, camera and flash and i drawn my own buildings in it (pub etc..). My final piece was really good because it was humorous and it made people laugh. If i could have changed something i would have used a tripod and i would of slowed things down so that the viewers could read the text that i have added to it. Apart from that i am very happy with my final piece but next time it would be a lot better when i put more effort into it:).

RECREATING IMAGES.

In college today we done some research about a few documentary photographers. We wrote about them in our sketch books. As the day went on we found some of the artist work and we recreated them. Here's the images that i recreated.
